terms

Last updated 22 October 2026

These terms apply when you use LocalBite: the app, localbite.uk and the business dashboard. Part 1 applies to everyone, Part 2 to people using the app, and Part 3 to businesses listing venues.

Part 1: everyone

Who we are

LocalBite is run by Black Flame Digital Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales (company number 11861684), registered office 45 Sir Peter Blake Way, DA10 1HB, United Kingdom. Contact us at support@localbite.uk.

Using LocalBite fairly

  • Keep your sign-in to yourself. You’re responsible for what happens on your account.
  • Don’t misuse LocalBite. For example, don’t use more than one account to claim offers, tamper with the app or codes, automate it, scrape it, or try to get into parts you’re not meant to.
  • Don’t use LocalBite to break the law or to harass anyone.

If you break these terms, we may suspend or close your account. Unless it’s urgent, we’ll tell you first and give you a chance to explain.

Your data

Our privacy policy explains how we use personal data.

Changes and availability

We keep improving LocalBite, so features may change. We’ll try to keep it running smoothly, but we can’t promise it will always be available or free of errors. If we change these terms in a way that matters, we’ll tell you before the change takes effect. If you don’t agree, you can stop using LocalBite and delete your account.

Ending

You can stop using LocalBite and delete your account at any time. We may close LocalBite or your account with reasonable notice, or straight away if you seriously break these terms.

Part 2: using the app

Offers

  • The app is free. Offers are made by the venues, not by us. The venue is responsible for honouring them and for its food, drink and service.
  • Each offer shows when it’s available and its conditions, such as a minimum spend, first visit only, or once per person. They apply as shown when you redeem.
  • To redeem, tap Redeem at the venue and show your code to staff. Codes work once and expire after a few minutes. A screenshot won’t work.
  • Venues can change or end their offers, or close, at any time. We do our best to keep listings accurate, but we can’t guarantee every offer will be available when you arrive.
  • Offers on alcohol are only for people aged 18 or over, and venues may ask for ID. You need to be 16 or over to create an account.
  • Offers have no cash value, can’t be exchanged or sold, and can’t be combined with other deals unless the venue says so.

If something goes wrong

If a venue doesn’t honour a valid offer, please tell us at support@localbite.uk. We’ll take it up with them. Questions about your food or bill are for the venue. These terms don’t affect your legal rights as a consumer.

Part 3: businesses listing venues

Your account and listings

  • You must be authorised to act for the business, and the details you give us, including venue information, photos, opening hours and offers, must be accurate and kept up to date.
  • We review each venue before it goes live, and we may decline or suspend a venue that doesn’t meet these terms. We’ll tell you why.
  • You keep ownership of your content. You give us a licence to show it in the app, on localbite.uk and in materials promoting LocalBite while your venue is listed. You confirm that you have the rights to the photos and text you upload.
  • You’re responsible for the people you invite to your team and the staff and devices you set up.

Your offers

  • You must honour any offer redeemed with a valid code during its listed times and on its stated conditions. If you need to stop an offer, pause or end it in the dashboard first.
  • Your offers must be genuine and comply with the law, including consumer protection, pricing, licensing and alcohol rules. You’re responsible for checking customers’ ages where needed.
  • You remain responsible for your food, drink, allergen information, hygiene and service.

Fees and billing

  • Listing costs a monthly fee for each approved venue, shown on the Billing page before you subscribe. Payments are taken by Stripe, monthly in advance.
  • When venues are approved or removed during a month, the next invoice is adjusted in proportion to the time remaining.
  • You can cancel from the Billing page at any time. Your venues stay live until the end of the period you’ve paid for, and then come off the app.
  • If you delete your business from the dashboard, billing stops at once and we don’t refund the rest of the current month.
  • If a payment fails and isn’t fixed, we may take your venues off the app until it is.
  • We’ll give you at least 30 days’ notice of any price change.

Customer data

You’ll see limited details about customers who redeem your offers. Use them only to run your offers and your business, keep them secure, and don’t contact customers for marketing based on this information.

Our responsibility to businesses

For businesses, our total liability under these terms is limited to the fees you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. We aren’t liable for loss of profit, revenue or goodwill, or for losses we couldn’t reasonably have foreseen.

The legal bits

Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or any other liability the law doesn’t allow us to limit. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and disputes go to the courts of England and Wales. If you’re a consumer living in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you can also bring a claim in your local courts.
